A Book for Every Child

Together, we can put an end to Africa's literacy crisis

Did you know that most African children who attend school have never owned a book of their own? In many classrooms, 10-20 students share one textbook. Many people in the United States take these educational necessities for granted, but children in Africa cherish books. We have the power to change this stark reality. Through our collective efforts, we can help bring the gift of books to children in Africa.

Because of this literary and humanitarian crisis, I’ve partnered with Books For Africa to deliver The ABCs of the African Diaspora into the hands of children who urgently need books. Books For Africa supplies massive containers of books to rural schools, libraries, orphanages, adult literacy programs, and community resource centers throughout the African continent. They regularly receive letters and emails from people across the continent expressing a great need for books.

Together, we have the power to put an end to this literary crisis. It is my hope that we can donate as many books as possible, which is why I am discounting my book by 55%. That’s right, a contribution of $10 will provide one book to a young child who eagerly desires to read and learn, giving them a chance to own a book that encourages them to embrace their magic and inspires them to dream.

Be the hope that someone is waiting for. Your gift of $10 will change a life forever, empowering the next generation to excel beyond their wildest dreams. Please give the gift of reading today!
